Did you know that there are more job opportunities in food, agricultural, renewable natural resources and the environment than there are college graduates to fill those jobs?
That’s the finding of a U.S. Department of Agriculture report, forecasting that there will be an estimated 57,900 high-skilled job openings annually for college graduates through 2020.
However, the United States only produces about 35,400 new college graduates in related fields every year, according to the USDA’s National Institute of Food and Agriculture and Purdue University project there are only an average of 35,400 of new college graduates. (For more on the report, see https://www.purdue.edu/usda/employment/.)
There are great opportunities for highly-skilled jobs in agriculture, so consider studying at Cal Poly Pomona’s College of Agriculture. Visit http://www.cpp.edu/agri for more information.
